Samsung SDI America is currently looking for a financial and cost accountant in its San Diego/Tijuana office.

Job Description:
- Analyze logistics information focused on material cost calculation, loss, and inventory management
- Provide potential managerial issues in expense control, inventory control, process innovation etc.
- Provide analytical support to the Controller weekly and monthly regarding financial performance, variances,
  forecasts, and special projects
- Prepare & ensure timely preparation of necessary management issues and H.Q. related reports
- Prepare monthly revenue and income forecast, variance analysis & annual management plan
- Oversee monthly closing process (SAP SD, MM, PP closing) including CO modules maintenance  
- Application of GAAP to complex transactions

- Knowledge of monthly close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and consolidated
financial statement preparation

Qualification:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in accounting required (Must be able to start immediately)
- Well defined knowledge of business processes, practices, and applications
- Excellent communication skills: a team player by nature
- Computer efficiency (includes Microsoft skill) a must
- Spanish speaker and experience with SAP R/3 is a plus
