Position Title:            Purchasing Controller                        Department:  Purchasing

Position Type:        HOURLY                      SALARIED                           MANAGEMENT

Reports to:  Purchasing Manager

Position Summary:

Responsible for planning and managing purchasing tasks of materials and parts to ensure accurate lean inventory of production and operation (Domestic and International – China, Korea and North America).

Essential Functions of Position:

·         Responsible for communicating and implementing change as directed.

·         Responsible for ensuring that all health and safety requirements are in compliance in accordance with Company policy.

·         Responsible for negotiating and organizing Customer Service

·         Responsible for maintaining records relating to level of inventory for the related materials and parts

·         Responsible for ensuring that all resources are utilized efficiently.

·         Responsible for administrative duties required to ensure daily KPI performance is achieved.

·         Responsible for supervising and training staff to improve their performance and quality of achievement

·         Responsible for coordinating with each production management officials

·         Responsible for motivating associates through effective personnel management

·         Responsible for filling in for Manager of Department during absence.

Requirements:

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel

·         Proficient in SAP Products and internet resources

·         Ability to interact well with other Departments

·         Must possess good interpersonal skills

·         Excellent attendance required

·         Ability to stand, bend and walk for periods of 8 hours

·         Must be available for weekend work when necessary

·         Must be available after normal shift hours for consultation in the event of emergency situations.

·         Must be able to travel less than 10%

·         Must possess good written and verbal English communication skills

·         Minimum 4 year Degree from accredited university with Degree in Engineering or Business

·         Bi-Lingual Preferred (Korean/English)
