Reports to:  Quality Manager

Position Summary:

Responsible for the control of quality from production processes.  This includes statistical analysis of data, process audits, and controlling reword and non-conforming product.  Responsible as the immediate contact to the customer and responsible for investigation quality issues, coordinating the implementation of countermeasures, and writing/presenting reports in the customer required formats.  Responsible for validating all corrective actions put in place both internally and for the customer.  Responsible for ensuring that production management is aware of quality requirements and they are being adhered to.  Responsible for new model launches:  developing gauges, completing documentation, developing quality standards, ensuring that parts pass all required testing.

Essential Functions of Position:

·         Ability to make educated spur of the moment decisions based on data and past experience.

·         Knowledgeable of control plans, PFMEA’s, work instructions, quality alerts, and 5 why/8 D root cause analysis.

·         Ability to think outside the box and be creative when problem solving, must have excellent problem solving skills.

·         Must have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

·         Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast pace production environment.

·         Knowledge of automotive lighting, bulbs, or injection molding a definite plus.

·         Ability to keep composure and make decisions under stressful situations.

Requirements:

·         Bi-lingual, must speak English and Korean.

·         Ability to interact well with other Departments.

·         Must possess good interpersonal skills.

·         Excellent attendance required.

·         Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently.

·         Ability to stand, bend and walk for periods of 8 hours.

·         Must be available for weekend work when necessary.

·         Must have an Engineering degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing.

·         Experience with CATIA preferred.
