Seoyon Electronics develops, manufactures and markets electrical/electronic parts for Automotive OEMs. Our switches, electronic modules, passive entry systems are all found in numerous vehicles sold in North America. We have been supplying high quality components to OEMs and major tier-1 automotive suppliers around the world.

 

The Quality Development Engineer requires a heavy interaction with the customer, Seoyon’s manufacturing sites and across different functional groups to solve field issues in a rapid and cost effective manner. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of automotive systems, automotive manufacturing processes, and quality systems background and business acumen to work with automotive customers.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: See below, but not limited to;

  • Develop additional business opportunities from existing customers
  • Make a quotation for products/ Negotiate engineering and commercial solutions with customers.
  • Maintain a list of active/open customer issues prepare reports, maintain records, and organize files regarding products and customer's activities.
  • Seek new business and maintain/expand current business
  • Maintain customer satisfaction and provide technical solutions that meet customer's requirements
  • Communicate with internal co-workers in Korea, China, Mexico, Brazil and Europe with regard to pricing, engineering.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to customers and manufacturing sites
  • Complete work assignments within allotted time frame for current projects
  • Support co-workers activities as required
  • Assist management in developing and negotiating customer contracts
  • Solving quality issues
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in engineering and accredited college or university
  • Experience in quality development engineering or an automotive related field
  • Bilingual is preferred (English and Korean)
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Well-developed presentation skills
  • Ability to work well under time deadlines and pressure
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Demonstrated skills in using computers and relevant software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
