실험 참여자 모집

 

신시내티 대학교의 형사사법 학부에서 연구에 참여할 참여자를 모집하고 있습니다. 연구는 한국계 이민자와 미국인들의 일상활동을 알아보고, 인종/민족성 정체성이 어떻게 일상활동에 영향을 미치는지를  탐색하는 연구입니다. 이 연구는 차별이나 범죄피해와 같은 어려움으로부터 멀어지게 하는 일상활동에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다.

 

참여자들은 1시간에서 1시간 30분정도 소요되는 인터뷰에 참여하게 되며, 인터뷰는 참여자의 편의에 따라 영어나 한국어 혹은 두 언어의 혼용으로 이루어집니다. 면담은 온라인이나 대면으로 이루어질 예정입니다. 실험에 참여하는 경우, 아마존 기프트카드 30달러를 제공받게 됩니다.

 

참가 신청 자격 요건은 다음과 같습니다:

• 미국 내 거주자로서 만 18세 이상인 분

• 미국 내 거주 기간이 5년 이상인 분

• 한국 출신이거나 한국계 미국인이며, 미국 내 거주의사가 있는 분

(향후 미국 내 거주 또는 체류 의사가 없다고 판단되는 교환학생, 방문 연구원, 여행자는 지원할 수 없습니다.)

 

참가를 원하시는 분은 shimhg@mail.uc.edu로 이메일을 보내시면 됩니다. 참여를 신청할 때는 다음과 같은 내용을 기재해주시기 바랍니다.

1)    이름, 2) 나이, 3) 미국 및 신시내티 거주 기간, 4) 거주 지역, 5) 인종적 정체성.

 

선발되신 분들께는 참여 가능한 시간대를 요청하고 참여 동의서 검토를 위해 별도로 연락드릴 예정입니다. 첫 번째 모집은 2023년5월 14일에 마감됩니다. 추가 모집은 2023년 5월 31일까지 이루어질 예정입니다.

Recruitment of Study Participants

 

 

A research team at the School of Criminal Justice in the University of Cincinnati is seeking to recruit participants for research. The study aims to explore Korean immigrants' and Americans' daily routines and how their racial/ethnic identity may impact their routine activities. Specifically, this study focuses on routines that keep them away from troubles such as discrimination and crime victimization.

 

Participants will have a one-on-one interview (about an hour up to an hour and half). Interviews will be conducted either in Korean or English or a mix of both languages at the participants’ convenience. Interviews will be in-person and virtual. Those who complete the interview will receive a $30 gift card to Amazon. To apply for participation, you must be:

 

·      Participants must be at least 18 years older and living in the U.S.

·      Participants must have lived in the U.S. for at least 5 years

·      Participants must identify as Korean or of Korean heritage AND must be residents (whose intention is to live in the U.S.) or citizens (who were US-born or naturalized)

·      Exchange students, visiting scholars, or travelers who do not intend to live in the U.S. are not included in the above category

The first round of recruitment will be closed by March 14, 2023. Additional recruitment may continue until May 31, 2023.
