Location:
The Biological Sciences Greenhouses (322 West 12th Ave.) are on top of Parking Garage K (340 West 12th Ave.), directly across the street from University Hospitals.  See the Science Café web site for more details

Summary:
This tour is a guided standing/walking presentation at the OSU Insectary where over 110+ species of insects and other arthropods are cultured for teaching and research support.  Where appropriate, visitors may be able to touch and hold various arthropods, while learning about their form, structure, life histories and defenses.  Examples of animals that will be available for examination include tarantulas, scorpions, millipedes, walkingsticks, various large cockroaches and a number of other arthropods.  The tour is an informal presentation where participants are free to ask questions at any time.  The tour facilities can accommodate up to 20 or so participants, who will have to stand during the presentation time, so please wear comfortable shoes.
