All international students at Ohio State must enroll in the Comprehensive Student Health Insurance Plan. Exceptions may be granted for the following reasons:
• Students who are fully financially supported (including tuition, living expenses, and medical expenses) under a government sponsor, such as the governments of Malaysia, Kuwait/UAE, Oman, Qatar, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia.
• Students who are fully financially sponsored (including tuition, living expenses, and medical expenses) under a select international organization, such as IIE, Fulbright, LASPAU, USAID, FAO, WHO, and Rockefeller.
• Students who are covered as a U.S.-based employee, or as a dependent of a U.S.-based employee, under U.S.-based health insurance provided through that employment.
