Most international students are also required to take a written English composition placement test when they arrive at Ohio State. You may be exempt from this requirement if you:
1) Were previously enrolled in an academic program at Ohio State 2) are a citizen of the following countries or regions: Australia, Belize, Canada (except Quebec), Ireland, New Zealand, Liberia, United Kingdom (English, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland), The Commonwealth Caribbean, and the United States 3) score 650 on Paper-based TOEFL(PBT); 280 Computer-based(CBT); 114 new Internet-based TOEFL(iBT) 4) score 95 on the MELAB test, or 90 overall and 90 writing subscore 5) score 9.0 on the IELTS (Overall Band Score) 6) score 8.0 on the IELTS (Overall Band Score) and 8.0 Academic Writing module
