Midwest 재미 청년 문화대사 모집요강

 

We would like to invite and select Korean Cultural Ambassadors from universities in Midwest area to develop Korean cultural Resources made available for all other Koreans living and studying abroad. Candidates (about 2-3 people from each university) will be considered to participate two days of international conference and workshop to share our commons and stories living as Korean Students in USA. We will provide all selected ambassadors' attendance fee such as gas, hotel, food, workshop resource book etc. At the end of conference and workshop, Korean ambassadors will be awarded a certificate as 1^st year of Korean cultural ambassador.

 

Candidates:

Ambassadors candidates should be undergraduate students (Freshman~Senior) in university and who are interested in sharing their opinions about their schools, their daily lives in USA as a Korean student.

 

Date:

Our conference will take place in UIUC on March 28th, 29th, and 30th and we recommend selected ambassadors to participate on March 29th and 30th.

 

Project BeKA:

International conference about Early Studying Abroad Korean Students will cover various topics concerning ethnic identity, family bonding, race issue, and other cultural and social issue related to the education in USA and in Korea concerning early studying abroad students. Product and outcome of this conference and workshop will be remain alive at the website of BeKA (Building a community of Korean-Abroad) that will keep your participation sustain and grow over networks.

 

About KCC:

Korean Culture Center (KCC) is a non for profit organization hosed within the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and hosting cultural activities and programs to promote Korean culture to the USA.

제목 : 한국문화원 주관 한국문화대사 선발 및 워크샵 안내

 

재 일리노이 샴페인 한국문화원에서 미 중서부 소재 대학 학생들을 대상으로 미국 유학생활의 정보를 공유하고, 한국문화의 우수성을 알릴 문화대사를 선발하고, 이를 대상으로 한 워크샵을 진행하고자 합니다.

 

참가 대상자는 오는 3/28~3/30에 University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign에서 열리는 국제학술대회에 초청되어, 이 중 2일차, 3일차 워크샵에 참여하게 되며, 워크샵 마지막 날에는 참가대상자 모두에게 한국문화대사 인증서가 수여됩니다.

 

워크샵 기간 학생들은 미국 유학생활 중 느꼈던 경험과 정보를 서로 나누는 한편 다른 학생들과 Human Network를 구축할 소중한 기회를 가지게 되며, 참가대상자들에게는 유류대와 숙식비용이 지원될 예정입니다.

·         BeKA (Building e-community of Koreans abroad; 재외한국학생연대) 프로젝트 소개 :

BeKA 프로젝트는 한국조기유학생들의 ethnic identity, 가족간의 유대, 인종차별문제 및 문화/사회적 이슈를 재외 학생간의 연대를 통해 발전적인 방향으로 해결해나가고자 한국문화원에서 추진 중인 프로젝트입니다. 금번 국제학술대회(International conference about Early Studying Abroad Korean Student)는 BeKA 프로젝트의 일환으로, 이 학회에서 다루어진 내용 및 워크샵 결과물은 BeKA 프로젝트의 웹사이트에 게재되는 한편 온라인상의 재외한국학생 연대를 위한 기초가 될 것입니다.

 

·         한국문화원 소개 : 샴페인 한국문화원은 한국문화의 우수성을 미국에 알리고자 일리노이 주정부의 공식 인가를 받아 2006년 설립된 비영리 단체로써, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign및 미주 중서부 지역을 기반으로, 현재 각종 문화행사 및 프로그램을 주관하고 있습니다.
