1) OSU 학교 보험에서 출산부분이 커버가 되는지 알고 싶습니다.
A) Yes.
2)혹시 보장이 된다면 어느 정도까지 되는 지 알고 싶습니다. (분만비용 뿐만 아니라 뭐 각종 검사비용 이런게 많던데 전부 cover가 가능할까요?)
A1) They say 90% will be covered by OSU health insurance. It must be on the SHI website. Anyway you'll get several bills from various department after your wife delivery your baby. I got them, too. Forgot how much I paid, sorry.
A2) 검사비용 -> It depends on hospital. My case, I paid $15 per visit for copay, but my friends, they paid only once for the first visit, and did not pay after that. I didn't know why. So ask, ask, ask.
3)혹시 아내가 미국에 있진 않지만 제가 온 후에 배우자와 같이 먼저 보험에 가입해도 되는 걸까요? - Yes, you have to buy "family plan", student + spouse.
반드시 거주 조건이 필요할까요? - No.
4)OSU 근처에도 산후조리원이 있나요? - No, but sometimes you can find Korean ladies who are willing to take care of wives who just delivered a baby. Go to Columbus Missy Cafe @ Daum. Ask your wife to be a member of that cafe.
미국사람들은 산후조리 안하나요? - Yes, they Do it, but just in a little bit different way. Do whatever your wife wants, NEVER say anything negative comments on 산후조리 mentioning US ladies are doing it or not. Good luck!
