Today April 13: Latino Comics Program

Tuesday, April 13, at 4-5 pm, Thompson Library room 165.

Professor Frederick Luis Aldama will be discussing his work about Latinos in comics and graphic novels - mainstream and alternative -  that appear in his book, Your Brain on Latino Comics.

Dr. Aldama will discuss mainstream comic book representations of Latino super-heroes from the late 1970's till today as well as how Latino authors/artists working today use the visual and verbal elements of the comic book medium to affect the cognitive and emotional responses of their readers.
