 The program is free, but registration is required.We are delighted to invite you to the 2025 Sijo Summit, a two-day event celebrating the Sejong Cultural Society’s 20 years of promoting cultural exchange.

 Throughout the Summit, participants will engage in an in-depth exploration of East Asian poetic forms—especially sijo—through expert-led sessions, hands-on writing workshops, and scholarly discussions on how sijo can be taught and appreciated in today’s classrooms. Whether you’re a teacher, poet, or poetry enthusiast, we welcome you to join this meaningful celebration of East Asian literary traditions and cross-cultural learning.

 -Presentations by renowned scholars and poets from the U.S. and Korea
 -Live sijo writing and peer-editing sessions
 -Group discussions on sijo education and curriculum integration
 -A friendly sijo contest among participants
 -A traditional Korean dinner and a live music performance

 Special Offer for current K–16 Educators in the U.S.: Those who attend all sessions and complete the program requirements will receive 10 hours of professional development credit and a $100 stipend.
