We are delighted to invite you to the 2025 Sijo Summit, a two-day event celebrating the Sejong Cultural Society’s 20 years of promoting cultural exchange.

Throughout the Summit, participants will engage in an in-depth exploration of East Asian poetic forms—especially sijo—through expert-led sessions, hands-on writing workshops, and scholarly discussions on how sijo can be taught and appreciated in today’s classrooms. Whether you’re a teacher, poet, or poetry enthusiast, we welcome you to join this meaningful celebration of East Asian literary traditions and cross-cultural learning.

Highlights include:
-Presentations by renowned scholars and poets from the U.S. and Korea
-Live sijo writing and peer-editing sessions
-Group discussions on sijo education and curriculum integration
-A friendly sijo contest among participants
