Criteria for Pre-major Admission

Students new to Ohio State who are not eligible for direct admission to a business major specialization will be admitted to the Max M. Fisher College of Business pre-major program if they meet any one of the two following criteria:

1. New First Quarter Freshman (25 ACT or 1150 SAT or top 20% of high school class)
2. New Transfer Students (3.00 GPA on all non-technical course work completed at all previously attended colleges)

Continuing Ohio State students will be admitted to the pre-major program if they meet the following criteria:

1. 3.00 GPA on all non-technical course work completed at all attended colleges AND completion of Math 130 or 148 (and prerequisites) or equivalents with C– or better AND at least 15 cumulative OSU hours*

*Regional campus students are required to have a minimum of 45 earned hours in addition.
